How it works

Three steps, no runaround.

Registration is simple, and Kathleen answers her own email. If anything on this page is unclear, just ask.

  1. 1

    Pick your training

    Basic, advanced or a gathering

New to EMDR? Start with Basic Training. Already trained? Any advanced course is open to you. Each card above says who it’s for.

  2. 2

    Reserve your seat

    Apply or register online

Basic Training is hosted with the American Association of Christian Counselors: you apply on the AACC site, applications are reviewed weekly, and you pay once you’re accepted. Advanced courses register right here. The price and what’s included are listed with each date.

  3. 3

    Get the details

    Before the first day

Kathleen sends materials, links and, for in-person days, directions and what to bring. For courses at her home and garden, the address comes with your confirmation.

Good to know

Before you register

Who can attend

Trainings are for licensed mental health professionals, and for pre-licensed clinicians and graduate students working under supervision. Advanced courses also require a completed EMDR Basic Training.

Not sure you qualify? Ask

Credits

Basic Training is EMDRIA-approved, carries 40 continuing education hours through the AACC, and ends with an EMDRIA-endorsed Certificate of Completion. Advanced courses carry EMDRIA credits.

Online and in person

Basic Training and some advanced courses run live online, so you can join from anywhere. Nature days and gatherings happen in person around Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

About in-person days

Don’t see the date you need? Tell Kathleen.

Cohorts are scheduled around real demand. If you’re waiting on a course, say so, and you’ll be the first to know when it’s set.
